به دنبال همه‌گیری کووید-19 و تهدیدهای بزرگی که برای سلامت جهانی ایجاد کرد، پژوهشگران زیادی شروع به مطالعه در این زمینه کرده‌اند و دستورالعمل‌های متعددی از سوی سازمان‌های بین‌المللی در مورد مشاغل پرخطر و نیاز به بهداشت حرفه‌ای صادر شده است. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی راه های جلوگیری و کنترل بیماری کووید-19 در محیط کار به دلیل شیوع بالای این بیماری در کشور بود. در بررسی و نگارش این مقاله از مقالات نمایه‌شده در پایگاه‌های اطلاعاتی SID، SCOPUS، PUBMED، MAGIRAN و همچنین منابع کتابخانه‌ای استفاده شد. مطالعات نشان داده است که بسیاری از مشاغل از جمله کارکنان مراقبت های بهداشتی، کارگران جمع آوری و دفع زباله و کارگران حمل و نقل عمومی در معرض خطر هستند. همه اقشار جامعه اعم از کارفرمایان، صاحبان مشاغل، کارگران و کارمندان باید برای مبارزه با ویروس کرونا آمادگی کامل داشته باشند، حتی اگر اپیدمی کرونا هنوز به آن کشور یا منطقه نرسیده باشد. این می تواند در کاهش روزهای کاری از دست رفته، غیبت کارکنان و جلوگیری از انتشار ویروس در جامعه موثر باشد.
